I am a sculptor turned ceramist hand building with slab and coil techniques. I use the pit fire method for larger works and exploring the use of the written word on my forms. The recent Lucy Rie exhibition at Kettles Yard has inspired me to investigate the use of oxides and inlay on my surfaces and to create ceramic buttons.
